 Back Pain Yoga

Back Pain? I’ve got your back! Experience the benefits of Yoga with a focus on the back, neck and shoulders. Whether you sit at a desk all day or are generally sore and tight, this is for you. Special attention will be given to stretching and strengthening all the muscles that support the back including the core.

We start off with flowing poses (yang) to increase circulation, create warmth, detoxify the body and build strength. Then shift gears moving into the relaxed practice of floor poses (Yin) using the support of props when needed for three to five minutes at a time. Yin yoga postures gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints, allowing us to maintain and restore joint and muscle flexibility. Breathing exercises, Meditation and relaxation techniques are used to aid the mind/body in letting go of excess tension and promote healing.

Please note: This program is not suitable for persons with acute injuries or severe Scoliosis.

Hands on YinHands On Yin

Dreamy is the word to describe Hands On Yin. You just lay back prepare to relax, I do all the work for you. In this program, I stretch you out Yin Style. I support and hold you in the position so you can completely relax and let go!

Yin Yoga, based in concepts of Taoist Yoga, emphasises the connective tissues of the hips, thighs, pelvis and lower spine. It is characterised by the relaxed practice of floor poses using the support of props when needed for three to five minutes at a time. Yin Yoga postures gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints, allowing us to maintain and restore joint and muscle flexibility.

  • Enables a deeper longer lasting stretch than you can do on your own
  • Stretches and restores flexibility to the muscle and connective tissue

Perfect For Date Night! Dreamy is the word to describe Couples Yin. In Couples Yin, I teach you and your partner how to do my famous Hands On Yin (see above) for each other

Private ClassMy Private Class – It’s all about you!

Traditionally, Yoga was taught one-on-one. Private Yoga Classes are an excellent way to receive the benefits of Yoga, in a tailor-made class to meet your needs and goals. In My Private Class, you will receive the individualised attention you need and get the most out of your Yoga practice.

My Private Class is for you if:

  • You work shift work and can’t make regular classes
  • You feel uncomfortable in groups
  • You want the teacher all to yourself
  • You need to modify postures to suit your physical ability
  • You have a current injury or issue that needs extra care
  • You want to deepen and your understanding of Yoga

My Private Class Rates:

  • $120 for 75 min
