Free Class Yin Yoga For Winter
Winter Is the the most Yin time of the year. It’s a time to get still and quiet to nurture your body and drop inward during the colder months.
In this special winter-themed Yin Yoga Class (On Zoom), you will be invited to embark on a journey of deep relaxation and introspection.
Class Overview:
Winter Yin Yoga is an introspective practice that focuses on longer-held, passive poses. These poses target the deep connective tissues, promoting flexibility and vitality in the joints. This class aims to balance the stillness and receptivity of yin with the active yang energy of the busy holiday season to harmonize your energy.
Key Elements:
- Poses for Winter Wellness: Explore a sequence of Yin poses to alleviate stiffness, and release tension in areas commonly affected during the winter season. Emphasis will be placed on poses that are specifically curated to enhance circulation and nourish the kidney and bladder channels to support overall vitality.
- Seasonal Poem and Intentions: Align your practice with the energy of winter by incorporating seasonal poetry and Metta (loving-kindness). Cultivate a sense of inner stillness, resilience, and mindfulness to carry you through the winter months.
- Warmth and Comfort: I invite you to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere for your practice which may include blankets, bolsters, and any additional props that enhance their comfort and warmth during the class. You’re also welcome to drink some warm nourishing tea and light some candles.
- Closing Meditation: Seal your practice with a Metta meditation designed to foster a sense of self nourishment peace and calm.

Previous Yin Yoga experience (even if it’s just one or two classes)
This class will be recorded, recording available for 5 days.
Please arrive a few minutes early there is no admittance once the class has begun.
You will need for this practice:
2 Yoga Bricks (or equal-sized books)
a Yoga Bolster or 2 firm blankets
A Yoga Strap (or Bathrobe tie)
a cushion or small pillow
blankets for warmth
